The Amelie Project

About the Project

This is the Amelie Project, and it’s about empowerment. The concept was born from Mindy's own personal experience and has evolved so that Mindy can give back to others in a meaningful way.

The Amelie Project is a program where Mindy works with young women in the London community in order to help them feel confident and empowered.  This full-day seminar gives young women the tools they need to feel secure and build on their skills as they take on more responsibility, both in school and in life.

Taking place on the weekend, the day includes lunch and interactive workshops. Learning specific techniques and tools, Mindy teaches the group about public speaking, and how to get up in front of their class at school. She will discuss how to improve school work, how to become a student leader, and how to speak confidently in everyday interactions.

The seminar will have a series of activities including interactive games and yoga. Women from the community will also talk to the group, and give them guidance on how to get take the first steps towards their ideal career.

Registration

The Amelie Project seminar takes place twice a year. The seminar is ideal for young women in grades 7, 8 or 9, but no restrictions are in place.  Money raised will be donated back to organizations in the city that help young women. Stay tuned for more details!

What People Are Saying

"Mindy was always a delight to work with! As a co-host on New Years' Eve at the Hilton her spunky professionalism shone through. The sell-out crowds were always quick to engage Mindy and she was eager to reciprocate. Mindy's energy and enthusiasm helped make New Years' Eve a great success!"

"Mindy put on a great presentation to 30 youths that were attending the National Leadership Conference (Canada Youth Against Impaired Driving) in May 2011. Mindy had the young individuals comfortable in getting up in front of their peers doing tongue twisters and impromptu conversations. The young leaders really enjoyed the interactive presentation and left feeling empowered and realizing that the way they speak really does matter!"
